1. What are cookies

2. Cookies used on velarisbike.online
The website uses two first-party cookies. velarisbike_cookie_consent is a necessary consent-management cookie, while velarisbike_language is an optional language preference cookie. Neither is used for identification, analytics, advertising, marketing, profiling or tracking. Both use the website domain, Path=/, SameSite=Lax and Secure attributes and are stored for up to 12 months.
3. Language preference cookie
Cookie name: velarisbike_language. Purpose: stores the interface language selected by you, either English (en) or Romanian (ro), so the website can remember your language when you return. This cookie is optional and is created only after you actively click the "Accept" button. It does not contain your name, email address or other account information.
4. Consent management cookie
Cookie name: velarisbike_cookie_consent. Purpose: records your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) so the website does not repeatedly ask for the same decision. This cookie does not store your selected language and is used only for consent management. It is necessary for providing the cookie-preference mechanism and can therefore be stored without consent.
5. Before consent and when you continue without the cookie
Before you make a choice, the website may store velarisbike_cookie_consent only when needed to remember your decision. The optional velarisbike_language cookie is not created unless you choose "Accept". You can continue using the website without accepting the optional language preference cookie; the website then uses its default language and does not store a language preference.
6. Language switch
The EN/RO language preference is available after you accept the optional language cookie. After acceptance, selecting a language updates velarisbike_language. If you reject optional cookies, the website continues to work in its default language and no language preference is stored.
7. No other tracking technologies
The website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing cookies, profiling cookies, tracking pixels, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Firebase Analytics or similar tracking technologies. Fonts are self-hosted and are not loaded from Google Fonts or another third-party CDN. The website does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for its language preference or cookie consent mechanism.
8. Your choice and withdrawal
You can refuse the optional language cookie by choosing "Reject". If you previously accepted it, you can withdraw your consent at any time by using the floating "Cookie settings" control, permanently available in the bottom-left corner of the website, or by deleting the cookies through your browser settings. Withdrawing consent removes velarisbike_language and changes the consent record to "rejected". The preference panel remains available so you can change your choice at any time.
9. The Velaris Bike mobile app
This policy applies to the website https://www.velarisbike.online. The Velaris Bike mobile application is a separate product and does not use browser cookies. Its data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
